Can you get cremated when you die and have NASA put your remains on a satelite & send them to space?

earlier this year after the LRO completed it's mapping of the moons surface nasa crashed it into to the moon with part of Dr. Shoemakers' remains on board. He was instrumental in the Apollo landings. He wanted to go But had a bum leg. As portrayed in the movie Armageddon. He and his astronomer wife hunted NEO"s after that. He was also the co-discoverer of the shoemaker/levy comet. REST IN PEACE.
