About dragon age 2 i have a problem?

there is a mission called act of mercy, and in this i am supposed to go to a certain place and for some reason when i go to the map its not there, idk if its a glitch or what buts its annoying me, ive just ran around for 30 min figuring out what to do and i cannot find out what to do. i am a mage, and if anybody could help i would appreciate it alot
