Cremation Question (Catholics)?

I'm not really sure what the beliefs are with Catholics and cremation... From what I know cremation isn't honoring your body, and therefore you're not honoring God... Or so I think :\ But I was reading a Catechism and it didn't have much on the subject... I was wondering about this because a friend of mine passed a few weeks ago and I found out he was cremated... The Catechism just said there were certain situations where it was okay to be cremated... :\ What are those situations and what is the Catholic standpoint on cremation...
