Is there any place that helps pay funeral cost?

My husband died 2 months ago. He was cremated and the funeral home is holding his ashes till we pay the balance. We asked in lui of flowers to send donations to the funeral home only a few people did that. I am disabled and live check to check and can't pay it my self.
