Which Oblivion class should I pick?

I just bought Oblivion today. I once rented it, but I didn't have enough time to get into it. (Fallout 3 is my favourite video game ever.) I want a character that's stealthy, good with a bow, and charismatic. Sort of an "Aragorn the Ranger" of Oblivion. I tried making an Agent but I was too fragile in close-quarters. My primary weapon would be a bow, but my secondary would be a katana or shortsword. Suggestions? I was thinking an assassin or acrobat. Maybe a thief.
